Pilchuck Construction recently built four decks for new Airstream rental units at Angel of the Winds RV Resort in Arlington, Washington.

Our team completed the deck project in approximately five days using TimberTech decking and cedar skirting. Each low-profile deck includes a broad platform and stepped access, creating a finished outdoor area beside its Airstream rental.

Project Overview

Angel of the Winds RV Resort is expanding its guest accommodations by adding Airstream units that will be available as rentals. Pilchuck Construction was selected to build a deck for each unit.

The combination of materials provides a clean, consistent appearance that complements the existing structures onsite, while supporting regular outdoor use in Western Washington conditions.

Completing the decks in the scheduled timeframe required an organized schedule and a consistent construction process across the resort site.

Supporting New Guest Accommodations

Each deck creates a defined outdoor area next to its Airstream rental. Guests will have additional space to sit outside, relax, and make better use of their individual rental site.

The decks also help the new accommodations feel more complete and connected to the surrounding resort. Using the same decking material and color across all units creates a consistent finished appearance throughout this portion of the property.

Why the Right Decking Material Matters

Commercial and hospitality properties need materials that can handle regular use and changing weather conditions.

Composite decking is a practical option for projects like this because it offers a consistent appearance and does not require the same staining, sealing, or routine upkeep as traditional wood decking. Proper installation is also important for drainage, spacing, fastening, and long-term performance.

Projects like this require careful planning, efficient scheduling, and a local crew that can complete the work without creating unnecessary disruption for the property.

"Angel of the Winds is always looking for ways to improve the experience for its visitors. We're grateful for the opportunity to partner with one of the premier RV resorts in the Northwest."
